The Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo is one of the highlights of our year; and DDT 2026 was our best showing yet.

Held across three days at Sydney Dragway in Eastern Creek, DDT is Australia’s largest outdoor construction industry expo, bringing together thousands of visitors and over a thousand brands from across the civil construction, earthmoving, and agricultural sectors. For us at Finlease, it’s one of those events that genuinely energises the whole team.

This year was extra special. DDT 2026 marked our 10th year attending as an exhibitor, a milestone we didn’t take lightly. A decade of handshakes, conversations, and yes, socks. We’ve come a long way from where we started, and looking at what our stand has become, the team we bring along, and the relationships we’ve built over the years, it’s hard not to feel proud.

Our biggest team yet

In 2026, we brought over 15 staff to the show, our largest contingent ever. Having that many brokers and team members on the ground across all three days meant we could have more meaningful conversations with more people. And that’s really what DDT is all about for us. It’s not just about being seen, it’s about being present, being approachable, and genuinely connecting with the people who make this industry tick.

One of the most rewarding things to watch this year was some of our more junior brokers being approached by clients who wanted to come say hello. Building a reputation in the civil construction space takes time and consistent effort, and it was fantastic to see that hard work paying off on the show floor.

3,000 limited edition socks; and they went fast

By now, our Finlease socks are something of a DDT institution. But 2026 called for something extra. To celebrate our 10th anniversary at the expo, we produced a limited edition run of branded socks, and all 3,000 pairs were handed out across the three days.

They were a brilliant conversation starter (as always), and a way of marking the occasion in true Finlease fashion.

Over 500 competition entries;  and a deserving winner

We ran a competition across the three days that drew over 500 entries, which absolutely blew us away. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand and threw their name in.

What DDT means to us

The civil construction industry is full of hard-working, genuine people, operators, owner-drivers, contractors, and business owners who get up early, work hard, and get the job done. DDT is where we get to meet them face to face, hear what’s going on in their businesses, and talk through how Finlease can help them grow.

Whether that’s financing a new excavator, structuring repayments around seasonal cashflow, or simply having a chat about what’s ahead, these conversations matter, and we don’t take for granted the trust that comes with them.

Ten years in, and our commitment to this industry hasn’t wavered. If anything, it’s only grown stronger.
