About Val
In 1999, I joined Mark O’Donoghue at Finlease, following a decade at the Australian Guarantee Corporation (AGC) and another ten years with Household Finance. Moving to Finlease was the best decision I ever made, thanks to its exceptional culture.
My team of over 20 professionals assists clients in asset finance and operating lease solutions across various sectors, including civil, aviation, rail, food, printing, health & fitness, and technology. We specialise in financing assets such as technology (hardware, software, and services), aircraft, locomotives, printing presses, excavators, gym equipment, and food processing machinery.
Our motto is “relationship before transaction.” We prioritise understanding our clients’ needs and delivering on our promises, aiming to build lifelong relationships. Our goal is to make financing easy, providing a seamless and delightful customer experience.
On a personal note, I am the only son of Italian immigrants who settled in Mt. Druitt, Sydney, in 1966. I have three wonderful grown-up children and recently lost my wife to motor neurone disease. I now live in Bella Vista and am passionate about horse racing and all sports. Above all, I greatly love my family.
