MK Trucking:
A Finlease Client Story
Specialising in machinery and military equipment transport across Australia, MK Trucking was founded seven years ago by brothers Mark and Mick Kaandorp.
โMick was already transporting equipment for someone else and had to find his own freight,โ explained Mark. โI was working on gas plants in Queensland when Mick suggested we buy our own equipment and start our own business.โ
Starting with just one truckโaย Freightliner Argosyโand a drop deck trailer, the business has grown steadily. Their fleet now includesย 10 trucks with two new Kenworthsโa T909 and a Legend SARโon the way.
With plans to take on more road train work, Mark shared: โWeโve been passing on freight to Perth and Darwin, but with the new 909, weโre hoping to handle more of it ourselves.โ
The Kaandorp brothersโ approach to business is rooted inย excellence and care. โWe arenโt the cheapest, but we are very good at what we do,โ said Mark. โOur customers trust us because we take great care not to damage their machinery. We take a lot of pride in that.โ
MK Trucking partnered withย Finlease five years ago, relying on equipment finance brokerย Brady Talbot. Mark recalled: โBrady told me, โGet a quote from me for your next loan.โ Heโs looked after me from the start and continues to do so.โ
Switching to Finlease was a smart move for Mark, who described himself as a โnumbers and cents guy.โ โIf Iโm saving money, Iโm switching. Brady even connected me with an insurance broker, and when I switched, my fleet was half the size, but I savedย $60,000 instantly.โ
Finleaseโs service has simplified their finance process. โIf I want to buy something, I just text Brady a photo and tell him what I need. He always gets back to me the same day. Theyโve never knocked back a request,โ Mark added. โDealing with Finlease is always easy.โ
Withย two new prime moversย and aย 48ft ramp trailerย on the way, the Kaandorp brothers are set for continued growth.
